Ur Basketball
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 20 February 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AJNP Softwares LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the Ur Basketball mobile application (the “App”) and related services (together, the “Services”).
1) Summary
- We use your data to run the App (accounts, follows, notifications) and to improve stability (Crashlytics).
- We do not sell personal data and we do not run third-party marketing analytics in the App at this time.
- You can request deletion of your data/account in the App (where available).
2) Who we Are (Data Controller)
3) What this policy covers
This policy covers personal data processed through the App and our backend (Firebase / Google Cloud), including:
- account creation and authentication (including anonymous accounts)
- preferences and follows (teams, fixtures, leagues)
- push notifications
- crash and performance diagnostics (Crashlytics)
- support communications
It does not cover third-party services you access via links inside the App (e.g., PlayHQ game pages) or your device/OS provider.
4) Data we collect
A) Data you provide
- Account data: display name/username (where applicable), profile picture (if you upload one), preferences.
- Support messages: the content you send to support, and any attachments you include.
- User-generated content (future): if we introduce features like comments or posts, we may collect and store content you submit and associated metadata.
B) Data collected automatically
- App and device data: device type/model, OS version, app version/build, language, time zone, and basic device identifiers used for security and service operation.
- Network and log data: IP address and request metadata may be processed in server logs when you use the Services.
- Crash/performance diagnostics: crash logs, stack traces, and related diagnostic data (via Firebase Crashlytics).
- Usage data (limited): events needed to operate the Services (e.g., notification delivery status). We do not use third-party marketing analytics in the App at this time.
C) Data from third parties
- Sign-in providers (if you use them): Apple, Google, Facebook. We receive tokens/identifiers needed to authenticate you and may receive basic profile info depending on your provider settings.
- Sports data providers: we display fixture and live game information sourced from third parties such as PlayHQ. This data may include names of teams/players as published by those services.
D) App Security and Abuse Prevention
To ensure the security of our services and protect user data from fraudulent activity, our app uses Firebase App Check. This service helps verify that network traffic originates from our official application and prevents unauthorised software (such as bots or emulators) from accessing our backend services.
- Data Processed: When App Check is active, it collects and sends technical information to Google and/or your device's platform provider (Apple or Google). This includes device identifiers (such as the Apple "App Attest" or Android "Play Integrity" tokens), IP addresses, and software version information.
- Purpose and Legal Basis: This data is processed based on our legitimate interest in maintaining the security of our application, preventing abuse, and ensuring the integrity of user transactions.
- Third-Party Processing: This information is shared with Google as a data processor. For more information on how Google handles this data, please visit the Google Privacy & Terms.
E) Push notification data
If you opt in to notifications, we may collect:
- device push token(s)
- notification preferences and delivery metadata
5) How we use your data (purposes)
We use personal data to:
- provide and maintain the Services
- authenticate you and secure accounts
- save your preferences, follows, and settings across devices (where supported)
- send service notifications you request (e.g., live game updates)

6) Lawful bases (UK GDPR)
We process personal data under one or more of these lawful bases:
- Contract: to provide the Services you request

- Crash/performance data: retained according to our Crashlytics settings and operational needs.

- Support communications: typically retained for up to 24 months to manage support and disputes.
Retention may be extended where needed for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of agreements.

A) In-app deletion options
The App provides deletion options (availability depends on account type):
- “Delete my data” (anonymous + registered accounts): clears follows, preferences, and notification device tokens associated with your account, but does not delete the authentication account itself.
- “Request account deletion” (registered accounts): schedules deletion after a 3-day grace period during which you can cancel the request.
- “Delete account now” (registered accounts): attempts to delete your account and associated data immediately.
Where required by law, we will complete account deletion within 30 days of a valid request, and typically sooner.
11) Children
The Services may be used by younger users. If you are under 13, you should only use the Services with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal data without parental consent, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete that data.
If you intend to actively allow users under 13 to create accounts and submit personal data, you should implement a verifiable parental consent flow and update this section accordingly.
12) Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. However, no system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security
11A) Cookies and similar technologies
The App itself does not use browser cookies in the way websites do. If you operate a website for the Services, that website may use cookies or similar technologies; publish separate website cookie details as needed.
13) Third-party links and services
The App may link to third-party websites or services (e.g., PlayHQ). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
